Sorry, as much as I would love to read every aspiring author’s work, I just don’t have the time to do it. My advice would be to get into a good critique group, preferably with other writers, who can give you honest, solid feedback. And the internet is absolutely overflowing with places for writers to meet and share their ideas. More importantly, try your best to not just have friends read your stuff. While lovely, and encouraging, friends aren’t going to give it to you like an anonymous reader picking up your story off of a bookshelf might do. Get people whom you respect and will give it to you straight to read your story. It’s a little bit more painful than only having your friends and family read your stuff, but I promise your story will only flourish from it.
